Floating offshore windturbines

Floating offshore windturbines may be considered for depth situated between 50 and 300 m. This technology is under developement and several solutions are currently being tested.

Main goals

  • Help on the location definition of the floating offshore windturbines,
  • Help on the design of offshore windturbine structures and foundations,
  • Life expectancy assessment and monitoring and maintenance methods developement,
  • Assessment of the different solutions on the whole life,
  • Electric connections assessment,
  • Technical assistance to public owners.
